Hum does not collect any data. Not some data — none.

No network access. The app never connects to the internet. All sound is generated on your device in real time.
No accounts, no sign-up, no cloud.
No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers.
No third-party SDKs.
Your settings — sound colour, volume, sleep timer — are stored only on your device and are deleted when you delete the app.

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to share, sell, or leak. Apple may provide the developer with anonymous, aggregated statistics (downloads, crashes) through App Store Connect; that data is handled by Apple and never identifies you.

Yes — always. There is no audio file and no streaming; the noise is synthesised on your iPhone, so it works in airplane mode and never has a loop seam.

Like music and podcast apps, Hum uses the media audio category. That is what makes Lock Screen controls and background playback possible. Use the volume buttons or the in-app slider to control it.

Why does it stop when I unplug my earphones? · 이어폰을 빼면 왜 멈추나요?

That is deliberate — it prevents loud noise from suddenly bursting out of the speaker. Press the button again to resume.

How do I add the Lock Screen widget? · 잠금화면 위젯은 어떻게 추가하나요?

Press and hold the Lock Screen → Customize → tap the widget area below the clock → choose Hum. Tapping it starts or stops playback without opening the app.
잠금화면을 길게 누르고 → 사용자화 → 시계 아래 위젯 영역을 탭 → Hum 선택. 탭하면 앱을 열지 않고 재생·정지됩니다.
